Kids' Birthday Workshop at Fisk Avenue

Welcome to your birthday workshop at Fisk Avenue DIY! For our children's birthday events, we have several project options available. Price includes space reservation for a 3-hour block, and gives you a private room for gifts and food as well as creating your projects!

You pay an initial price equivalent to 5 participants to reserve the space, and then we send you a private booking link if you need additional tickets. Initial purchase reserves five of your selected projects for the time-slot.

Final count must be booked 72 hours in advance. We do not offer refunds if a participant cannot attend, but the project can be created by another participant or taken home as a Take-and-Create Kit.

Price: $35/participant. Minimum # of participants: 5. Maximum: 20. No additional charge for chaperones attending unless they wish to create a project.

1. The Splatter Zone! We have a private room set up to be our splatter painting zone, and provide 8"x10" canvases to all participants to create a splatter paint masterpiece. We provide a variety of paints, tools, and protective gear for clothing and shoes. For birthdays, a lot of groups will grab plain white t-shirts for the kids to wear during painting. This way, the shirt becomes an additional party favor. Our room can fit up to 8 per painting group. If you have a larger group than this, we can rotate them into the room and you can use the space for an additional activity while the other group paints. 
2. Juice Box and Paint Class! Our kids' version of a paint and sip, we provide juice boxes and canvases to create their own masterpiece. We offer a guided painting lesson or they can free paint! We supply paints, brushes, and have glitter and other decorative options to add at the end. 
3. DIY Birdhouses! They glue the pieces, and the workshop leader assists in assembling the birdhouses with a brad nailer while they observe, and then they paint the outside of the birdhouse however they like! We learn about what birdhouses need to work as shelter for Wisconsin native birds, and how to set-up at home!
4. String Art! We supply a background and templates for where to hammer, and then they add nails to the surface to create a border to the piece. We add string to the inside to create 3D art! 
5. Kids' Acrylic Pours! We teach them how to do the fluid paint technique of acrylic pouring on an 11"x14" canvas. They learn how to mix colors and the pouring medium, how to do several different techniques, and get to add gold leaf or other decorative pieces to the surface.
