Kids' Birthday Workshop at Fisk Avenue

Welcome to your birthday workshop at Fisk Avenue DIY! For our children's birthday parties, choose from a variety of exciting project options from our popular Splatter Zone experience to art and woodworking. This workshop package includes for 6 people, a private room reserved for a three-hour time-slot, and plenty of space for gifts and food as well as creating your projects! Have more than 6 participants? Project Options:

1. The Splatter Zone! We have a private room set up as our splatter painting zone and provide 8" x 10" canvases to all participants to create a splatter paint masterpiece. We'll offer a variety of paints, tools, and protective gear for clothing and shoes. For birthdays, a lot of groups will grab plain white t-shirts for the kids to wear during painting. This way, the shirt becomes an additional party favor. Our room can fit up to 8 per painting group. If you have a larger group than this, we can rotate them into the room, and you can use the space for an additional activity while the other group paints. Totes, hats, and canvases with stencils available upon request for an additional cost.
2. Juice Box and Paint Class! Our kids' version of a paint and sip, this workshop includes juice boxes and 11" x 14" canvases to create their own masterpieces. We'll offer a guided painting lesson, or they can free paint. We'll supply paints, brushes, and have glitter and other decorative options to add at the end.
3. DIY Birdhouses! Build your feathered friends new home by gluing the wood pieces to assemble your own birdhouse and getting crafty with paint and stain. Then the workshop leader will assist with final assembly with a brad nailer while they observe. We'll learn about what birdhouses need to work as shelter for native Wisconsin birds and how to set them up at home!
4. String Art! Use string to create 3D art. We'll supply an 8" x 8" wood background and simple templates for where to hammer. Then add nails to the surface to create a border to the piece and start stringing your design. Templates include a heart, house, sun, flower, tree, and paw print.
5. Kids' Acrylic Pours! Pour paint to create your own modern art. We'll teach your group how to do the fluid paint technique of acrylic pouring on an 11" x 14" canvas. They'll learn how to mix colors and the pouring medium, try several different techniques, and add gold leaf or other decorative pieces to the surface.

Final count must be booked 72 hours in advance. We do not offer refunds if a participant cannot attend, but the project can be created by another participant or taken home as a Take & Create Kit. If you would like to reserve extra time for your party beyond the 3-hour time-slot or there is an issue with your event, please contact us at hello@fiskavenue.com. No additional charge for chaperones attending unless they wish to create a project. Liability waiver must be signed by adult chaperone before event begins. Time block reservation includes decorating and take-down time. Some projects do not take the entirety of reserved block, and we recommend having a secondary activity (games, markers, etc.) just in case an attendee finishes early!
